About The Position

The Lead Software Quality Analyst at IAT Insurance Group is a pivotal role that combines individual contribution with leadership responsibilities. This position coordinates the daily tasks of an offshore QA Analyst team while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The role is hybrid, requiring in-office work from Monday to Wednesday, with remote work options on Thursday and Friday. The ideal candidate will lead the establishment and refinement of QA processes, focusing on both manual and automated testing strategies within an Agile environment, particularly for a large business transformation program utilizing Duck Creek technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and at least seven years of experience as a Software Quality Analyst or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading a team and extensive knowledge of automation test engineering methodologies.
  • Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software testing solutions.
  • Experience with JIRA and/or Confluence or other Agile tracking tools.
  • Experience in Test management tools like Test Rail or PractiTest.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment and with geographically distributed teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning abilities.

  • P&C industry experience.
  • Experience with Duck Creek, P&C product, or claims.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high level test strategies based on epic definition and feature design that includes strategies for manual and automated testing.
  • Provide leadership around test techniques or methodologies to support complex or strategic direction for the creation of the automation test suite environment.
  • Lead the execution of manual and automated test scripts and validate requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to reduce manual testing effort.
  • Work with development, requirements, and business implementation teams to ensure high-quality systems products.
  • Manage the triage, prioritization, resolution, automation, and delivery of fixes for defects.
  • Lead the planning and execution of automation testing efforts, ensuring resources meet delivery dates.
  • Define and document QA principles and standards, including risk-driven prioritization.
  • Evaluate Software Test and Automation tools and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Build credibility and trust while promoting transparency and managing expectations within the Agile framework.
  • Define automation-related quality metrics and communicate them regularly to influence process improvements.
