We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineer to serve as an integral member of our agile software engineering team, driving the development, support, and technical execution of scalable software applications across all digital channels. The ideal candidate will possess a strong full-stack development background, providing technical leadership and mentorship while taking an enterprise-wide architectural view to contribute to strategic technical decisions, architecture planning, and technology roadmaps. This hands-on leader will oversee the ongoing support of critical applications, lead the resolution of complex technical issues, streamline project delivery, collaborate with cross-functional teams, enforce coding standards, and serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our clients and product roadmaps.

  • Design and create engineering specifications for software applications and programs.
  • Design & write code that adheres to coding standards.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Generate ideas, explore and implement appropriate technical solutions to achieve required product features.
  • Monitor technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability, and performance.
  • Participate in all scrum ceremonies, assist in sprint planning, and complete required sprints in development through final execution of software applications/programs.
  • Communicate any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner.
  • Drive story creation (i.e. DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation).
  • Create Tasks for their stories in applicable software (ex: RTC or Jira), and update status and assignment accordingly.
  • Work with principal engineers to design & implement complex technical solutions.
  • Mentor other software engineers as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
  • 7 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns in building and deploying scalable; highly available systems.
  • 5 years in at least two modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred).
  • Experience with at least three of the following: React, Angular v4+, NodeJS, NoSQL databases, HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services.
  • 5 years of understanding of web services technologies such as REST, HTTPS, JSON.
  • 5 years with two or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, Python (Django/Flask), C/C++, C#, Objective C, JavaScript, or Go.
  • 5 years of defining system architectures and exploring technical feasibility trade-offs for optimizing short term execution while planning for long term technical capabilities.
  • Ability to produce code that is fault-tolerant, efficient, and maintainable.
  • Proven experience in a lead engineering role, demonstrating technical leadership and mentorship capabilities.
  • Strong proficiency in backend development using Python, Django, Flask, and FastAPI.
  • Experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and Gitlab.
  • Frontend development expertise using ReactJS, NextJS, JestJS, and Axios.
  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.
  • Experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with BigQuery.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions.
  • Pay Range Minimum: $92,300.00
  • Pay Range Maximum: $172,500.00
