The Job: As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be part of our Construction Technology team working as a remote employee. We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team and drive the development of our DDA product. This role offers the opportunity to work across both desktop (.NET C# on Windows) and cloud-based full stack environments (Nest.js and Next.js). As a key member of a cross-functional team, you will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle—from initial concept through deployment—collaborating closely with design and product teams to deliver innovative solutions.In our Construction Technology group, you will leverage your expertise in .NET development on Windows platforms, as well as your proficiency with modern full stack technologies including React, Next.js, Nest.js, and Node.js. You will work alongside Product Management and Subject Matter Experts in Structural Engineering, ensuring that technical solutions align with industry needs. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong visual design sensibilities and a focus on creating practical, user-friendly applications. Requirements

  • Proven experience in hands on design and development of full stack technologies in JavaScript, preferably with node or nest
  • Hands on experience in design and development of .NET applications on Windows
  • Experience in mentoring team members and managing multiple tasks effectively
  • Deep experience in effort estimation, agile development, quality control methodologies
  • Ability to extract technical details from ambiguous environment
  • Positive attitude with passion for customer value
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in construction and pre-fabrication a Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Work with engineering team and product managers to design and implement end to end solutions
  • Lead the engineering team to effectively estimate, develop & deploy the applications
  • Actively code & design to set high benchmarks for quality and performance of deliverables through automation and process implementation
  • Mentor team members in writing, designing effective solutions with quality; Review PRs to pro-actively highlight/address bottlenecks
  • Work closely with engineering leadership and product to estimate efforts, time and change impact
  • Champion the quality issues through effective root cause analysis minimizing the impact on customers, quality and schedules
  • Work across team boundaries; highlight risks, issues positively and propose solutions to nurture a healthy team attitude and results
  • Drive the team’s productivity and growth aligned to customer and SBD objectives
