About The Position

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people’s lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign’s Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM). Operating a reliable global service requires excellent developer experience, platform foundations, and automation. The Developer Platform team is responsible for the internal platforms, tools, and workflows that enable engineers across Docusign to build, ship, and operate services quickly and safely. As a Lead Software Engineer on this team, you will be the technical lead for our Backstage.io‑based developer portal and platform ecosystem. You will define the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the internal platform, build core capabilities and plugins, and partner with product and engineering leaders to drive adoption across the company. You will set engineering standards, mentor other engineers, and lead high‑impact, cross‑team initiatives that improve reliability, security, and developer productivity at scale. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Engineering.
