As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Home Lending, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Proficient in coding in one or more object-orientated languages, including Java17+ with Spring Boot
Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
Experience in building enterprise applications with high availability and performance using Java, Python, Spring, Kafka, Elastic Search, Distributed Cache.

Experience working at code level.
A keen interest in staying ahead of modern development trends and experimenting with emerging technologies such as AI and Machine Learning.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Sets up and manages POC's to evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies and methodologies, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
Drives the adoption of best practices in software development and AI integration, ensuring high standards of quality, security, and efficiency are maintained across all projects.
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
Understands machine learning principles, especially in natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning, to effectively work with LLMs.
