About The Position

Lyric National Inc. provides skilled nursing facilities and other long-term care facilities with a concierge platform for in-facility healthcare services funded through a supplemental accident and sickness policy (Enhanced Plan). Our program enables residents to access robust medical services-often beyond what traditional Medicaid structures provide-while helping facilities maximize healthcare options for patient care. We are committed to improving healthcare access and financial sustainability for long-term care providers through innovative insurance solutions. We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer (full stack) who has experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects. We are seeking a lead to help guide teams of other engineering for specified projects. As the Lead Software Engineer, you will take ownership of writing and maintaining automated tests and perform manual testing while necessary.

Requirements

  • Python (required) - strong, production‑level experience
  • Experience building APIs, services, and integration layers
  • Asynchronous processing using tools such as Temporal (preferred) or Celery
  • Strong data modeling and querying experience with PostgreSQL
  • Frontend
  • JavaScript
  • Experience with lightweight frameworks such as HTMX and Alpine.js
  • Ability to build pragmatic, maintainable UIs without unnecessary complexity
  • Infrastructure & Cloud
  • Docker (required)
  • Kubernetes (strongly preferred)
  • Experience deploying and maintaining applications in cloud environments
  • Familiarity with Azure or comparable cloud platforms
  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Prior experience operating at a senior or lead level
  • Proven ability to own systems and projects end‑to-end
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and sound engineering judgment

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical lead on full stack initiatives, owning design, implementation, and delivery
  • Lead and maintain business‑critical integrations between internal systems and external platforms (e.g., Salesforce and other partners)
  • Build and enhance backend services and APIs, with a strong emphasis on reliability and maintainability
  • Design and manage asynchronous workflows and background processing
  • Contribute to frontend development, delivering simple, maintainable user interfaces
  • Own monitoring, observability, and system health for the services you build
  • Participate in technical planning, architecture discussions, and future roadmap definition
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Help set engineering standards, review code, and mentor other engineers
