As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, and React Micro frontends.
  • Design and implement cloud-based applications on AWS, specifically utilizing AWS ECS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment using DevOps practices.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with designers, product owners, and back-end engineers to create user-friendly, visually appealing, and performance-optimized interfaces.
  • Apply CI/CD and DevOps best practices to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Proven expertise in Java, SpringBoot, Microservices, React Micro frontends, AWS ECS, and DevOps.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the globe.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading engineering teams and managing projects.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, including tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Understanding of SQL and Kafka.
  • Experience in working with diverse teams and contributing to an inclusive work environment.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and practices.
  • Understanding of AI principles with practical experience in incorporating AI-driven solutions into user interfaces.
  • Experience collaborating in Agile/Scrum development environments.
