As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Technology group, you will play a crucial role as part of an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • 5+ years of robust programming experience.
  • Extensive hands-on expertise in Microservices and RESTful web services development using Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud Native Architecture (including AWS), Microservice Architecture, related technology stacks, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Oracle
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI-driven solutions, including the integration of machine learning models into enterprise applications.
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design, development, testing, deployment, and support of large-scale, high-throughput, mission-critical payments applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leveraging AI for process automation, software development lifecycle (SDLC), or enhancing application functionality is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in Splunk, React JS, SRE/DevOps, and AI/ML frameworks

Responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
