As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector's AI/ML & Data Platforms team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

  • Develops secure high-quality APIs, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, product organization, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Conduct integrity checks to ensure data formats are accurate and consistent.
  • Create web-based user interfaces for seamless access to resources.
  • Leverage programming language libraries to generate power point presentation.
  • Develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions that transform raw data into well-presented outputs.
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and developing APIs.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Demonstrable ability to code in Python.
  • Experience in creating web user interfaces.
  • Foundational knowledge of database concepts.
  • Experience across the whole Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies.
  • Capable of programming in several languages, for example, Java and JavaScript.
  • Basic SQL Database knowledge.
