About The Position

The position exists to provide support to the Sleep Center for Children in conjunction with the Medical Director and with the Department Director. The primary responsibility is to score and generate preliminary reports on all the sleep studies performed at the sleep lab according to the AASM scoring guidelines. The role includes setting up daytime sleep studies and assisting the Sleep Clinic as needed. The individual will help and back up the Department Director to fulfill the day-to-day operations and activities of the Sleep Clinic/Center and EEG department, make recommendations, and submit equipment and supplies requests to the Department Director. The position also oversees QA activities of the night technician and their performance, serves as a backup for the Lead EEG Tech as needed, and performs other duties assigned by the Department Director. The individual will report directly to the Department Director and to the Medical Director. Completion of 10 SLEEP/EEG related CEUs within 1 year of hire and every year after is required.

Requirements

  • Current Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) credential (R.EEG.T.) OR American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) credential OR National Board of Respiratory Care (RRT-SDS).
  • BLS Certification.
  • Post High School Diploma Program.
  • Relevant experience in the field.
