With this growth, we are building our internal maintenance team to be a WORLD CLASS fleet management program. We serve our customers by providing superior service of hauling multi-million dollar yachts along the eastern US. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience leading a maintenance team.
  • Demonstrated experience in fleet maintenance.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Can perform the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing an effective preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime.
  • Scheduling needed repairs to ensure that all operating equipment is in satisfactory working condition.
  • Manages the daily work and safety of associates engaged in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Monitors work schedules including extra work days and shifts as needed.
  • Maximizing the proficiency of the Fleetio Maintenance Software program.
  • Oversees technicians.
  • Coordinates efforts with the Safety department to aid in training, conducting associate observations, updating preferred work methods, conducting accident investigations to determine root causes and routine safety inspections.
  • Makes recommendations for disciplinary action and/or behavior modification where required.
  • Work-order management.
  • Manages significant maintenance/refit projects as well as new asset upfits.
  • Conduct fleet and rolling stock evaluations to ensure maintenance standards are met and compliance with all regulatory agencies, including DOT and OSHA.
  • Conduct training with maintenance and transportation personnel on the effective use of vehicles and heavy equipment to prevent damage and identify deficiencies.
  • Controls downtime by informing the maintenance team of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
