About The Position

The Lead Shipper at V-Tron Electronics Corporation is a crucial role within the shipping department, responsible for organizing and preparing packages for shipment. This position involves handling electronic cables, harnesses, and various mechanical and electrical components, ensuring that all products are accurately counted, protected, and packaged to prevent damage during transit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to customer success.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior shipping experience.
• Computer literate.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with supervisors and managers.
• Knowledge of utilizing an ERP system.
• Knowledge of using UPS, FedEx, DHL shipping software and bill of ladings.
• Familiar with Export compliance.
• Familiar with International shipment process and requirements.
• Ability to lift 70 or more pounds when necessary.
• Familiar with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) control.
• Should possess self-motivation and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and arrange for transportation of products.
• Accurately count, protect and package customer products to ensure against damage during shipping.
• Maintain adequate shipping supplies.
• Must maintain an excellent attendance record.
• Responsible for maintaining shipping instructions and production travelers.
