About The Position

The Lead Service Writer at Keith Titus Corp plays a crucial role in the coordination and management of repairs for the fleet. This position is responsible for both proactive and reactive service management, ensuring that all repairs and services are initiated based on performance problems and customer requests. The Service Writer verifies warranty and service contract coverages, develops estimates, plans technician schedules, and coordinates with outside vendors. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and completing repair orders to maintain operational efficiency. In this full-time position, the Lead Service Writer will manage and mentor a team of Service Writers, ensuring that all job responsibilities are met effectively. Daily responsibilities include reviewing outstanding repair orders with staff to ensure accountability and providing troubleshooting support. The Lead Service Writer will also review preventive maintenance (PM), internal daily vehicle inspection reports (DVIR), and fault codes to ensure timely addressing of issues. The role requires regular communication with internal departments such as Dispatch and Financial Services, as well as answering general repair order and invoice questions to facilitate accurate and timely processing. The Lead Service Writer will also monitor scheduled offsite work, follow up with outside vendors regarding outstanding repairs, and compile repair details using Transman software. In addition to these responsibilities, the Lead Service Writer will manage warranty claims, ensuring that all claims are opened, tracked, and processed efficiently. The position also includes providing driver support, which involves being on call during rotating weeks and weekends, answering customer inquiries, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational communications with drivers. Overall, this position is vital for maintaining the operational integrity of the fleet and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service management and communication.
