About The Position

The JF Petroleum Group stands as a premier leader in the North American fueling infrastructure industry, offering comprehensive turn-key solutions for distribution, construction, and service needs. We serve a diverse clientele including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers. The Lead Service Technician provides daily direction and coordination for a team of Service Technicians. Responsible for reviewing that Technicians are being tasked efficiently and following up to ensure assignment have been completed to a high level of customer satisfaction and quality. The Lead Technician has a wide variety of skills and will be able to work through difficult problems. This person installs, maintains & repairs fuel dispensers; submersible fuel pumps; service station site controllers; credit card readers; cash register consoles; pumping PCW; tank & line monitoring equipment; various other types of equipment found in service station and convenience gas stations.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED required
  • Must Have a valid Driver License
  • Candidate must be self-directed and able to work independently when opportunities arise.
  • Electronics, electrical or mechanical education or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have been certified in all levels of V/R Tank Monitors & will have completed all Gilbarco Dispenser Certifications.
  • Candidates must have all Verifone POS certifications, all GVR POS certifications. Must be certified on one Commercial Fleet Fueling System. Must also have certification in a second Tank Monitoring System (if in possession of a current contractor’s license, then the tech qualifies for this level).
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work duties on GVR Dispensers and V/R Tank Monitors with direct assistance of Lead Technician. Also have the ability to open and close warranty calls on dispensers and tank monitors. Will also be available for “on-call” service for region.
  • Performs troubleshooting and repair on Gilbarco or Verifone. Will be required to travel as needed.
  • Will have the ability to service all petroleum equipment that is currently represented by J&F.
  • Primary focus is on service station electronics, computers, and the fuel dispensing systems.
  • Work includes equal portions of electronic, plumbing, and mechanical work.
  • Work rotation will include after-hours on-call duty in assisting service techs and running pump truck.
  • A significant portion of the work is done outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Candidates should be expected to provide quality customer service that exceeds customer expectation by ensuring that all assigned duties are completed in a cost-effective manner.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times for your benefit as well as the benefit of JF Petroleum Group and its customers.
  • Understand and comply with applicable fire safety, OSHA, and EPA rules and regulations.
  • Do required perquisite work necessary to obtain and maintain certification from original equipment manufacturers.
  • Work with service project crew on service projects assist lead technician(s) with the start-up and commissioning of equipment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strive to improve daily on newly acquired skills.
  • Responsible for displaying personnel conduct which reflects positively on branch’s service department and JF Petroleum Group as a whole, as well as our customers, internal staff, and other technicians.
  • Ensure that you are always in proper dress uniform and present a professional image to customers and the public.
