About The Position

The Lead Service Reliability Engineer at Prescryptive is responsible for the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of our cloud-based platforms across pre‑production and production environments. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with people leadership, guiding and mentoring a small team of Service Reliability / DevOps Engineers while remaining deeply involved in design, deployment, and operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles
  • Prior experience leading engineers, either formally or as a technical/team lead
  • Strong experience managing cloud-based infrastructure, preferably in Azure
  • Demonstrated expertise with Kubernetes, including: Cluster setup, networking, access control, and authorization
  • Deployments, services, config maps, secrets, and cronjobs
  • Designing, deploying, and maintaining service mesh infrastructure
  • Strong experience with GitHub Actions
  • Experience supporting production environments and high‑availability services
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, sprints, backlogs)
  • Experience managing certificates, secrets, and monitoring systems
  • Strong collaboration skills within a large, evolving engineering organization
  • Bias toward action with a focus on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Own and define build and deployment pipelines for secure, reliable production releases
  • Lead the operation of pre‑production and production cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security
  • Partner with Engineering and Product teams to manage release flow from development to test and production
  • Define and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response practices
  • Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and post‑incident improvements
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new infrastructure technologies and services
  • Ensure platforms meet or exceed healthcare security and compliance standards
  • Act as the technical and people lead for a team of Service Reliability / DevOps Engineers (minimum of 2)
  • Provide day‑to‑day guidance, technical direction, and mentorship for team members
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, provide feedback, and support career development
  • Help prioritize work, balance operational needs, and remove blockers for the team
  • Support onboarding and ongoing skill development
  • Help establish best practices, standards, and operational runbooks
  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, reliability, and continuous improvement

  • Prescryptive is committed to fair pay practices. The projected annual salary for this position is $125k to $195k.
