About The Position

The Lead Service Project Technician is responsible for overseeing and executing complex HVAC installations, retrofits, and system upgrades across specialized projects. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring that all HVAC work meets project specifications, safety standards, and performance expectations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; technical training or HVAC certification preferred.
• Minimum 5–7 years of HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including commercial and industrial applications.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HVAC activities on special projects including system design modifications, custom installations, and energy efficiency upgrades.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications to plan and execute HVAC work.
• Supervise and mentor HVAC Project Technicians and Apprentices assigned to the project.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems.
• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on complex HVAC systems including chillers, boilers, VRF systems, and advanced controls.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Assist in estimating labor and material costs for HVAC scopes of work.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure timely completion of project milestones.
