Job Summary The Lead Server (FOH Lead) is responsible for overseeing daily front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest service, strong team coordination, and overall operational efficiency. This role supports the management team by supervising FOH staff, maintaining service standards, and fostering a positive, professional work environment. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a front-of-house role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash-handling procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read and communicate verbally in English.
  • Written communication skills in in English may also be required.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to list up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to bend, twist and climb ladder and work at heights above eight (8) feet.
  • The ability to stand, stoop, lift, wipe, reach and type without assistance from others.

  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, support, and supervise FOH team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations and high service standards.
  • Greet and engage with guests to create a welcoming and memorable dining experience.
  • Monitor dining room flow, wait times, and table turnover to optimize seating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Train new FOH staff and provide ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Address guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring resolution and satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards throughout all FOH areas.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, checkout, and shift reports.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and management to ensure seamless service execution.
  • Uphold all company policies, procedures, and brand standards at all times.
