About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, service‑driven Lead Server to join our exceptional dining team at Splendido. This role is perfect for hospitality professionals who excel in creating memorable dining experiences while maintaining the high standards of our luxury senior living community. Ideal candidates are confident multitaskers with strong problem‑solving abilities who thrive in fast‑paced environments, ensure smooth daily service operations, and take pride in delivering warm, polished, and attentive service to residents, family members, guests, and staff. This position is full-time. Weeknight, weekend, and holiday availability required.

Requirements

  • Effective interaction and communication skills; team player.
  • Prior service experience in a dining environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to deliver consistent, quality food and beverage service.
  • Minimum 3 years of prior serving experience.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists restaurant management and oversees dining staff and operations to ensure that standards are being met and resident satisfaction is achieved.
  • Assures accuracy of food orders and serves food and beverages in a safe, sanitary, and timely manner.
  • Inspects dining areas and workstations prior to and following each meal period to ensure that server and utility duties are completed, providing a clean, sanitary, and safe working environment according to Mather Standards.
  • Completes related tasks and side work as assigned. Checks out servers and server assistants to ensure all end‑of‑shift duties are completed prior to staff leaving.
  • Consistently communicates resident and customer concerns to assistant management and/or management.
  • Assists in maintaining and achieving departmental sanitation standards and goals.
  • Maintains a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Performs server duties, including greeting tables, taking and placing accurate orders to the kitchen, suggesting food and beverage offerings, and closing checks in a timely manner.
  • Identifies areas for improvement, proposes possible solutions, and participates in data collection and process changes as part of the Quality Assurance Process Improvement process.
