About The Position

Liberty Senior Living is currently seeking an experienced Lead Server. The Lead Server is responsible for leading service team members while performing serving duties to provide exceptional customer service in all areas of service to tenants and guests in the dining room. This role champions and follows good sequence of service methods by demonstrating hospitality over service. The Lead Server will assist managers with scheduling front of house team members and will lead by example by demonstrating a neat and presentable appearance, observing Liberty dress code.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience working in a restaurant, hotel, or country club.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a food safety certification.
  • Work experience in a service-oriented profession preferred but not necessary.
  • Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards the elderly.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Leads service team members while performing serving duties.
  • Champions and follows good sequence of service methods.
  • Leads stand up meetings to ensure team is prepared for meal service.
  • Assists host and other servers with seating arrangements.
  • Responsible for setting and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness of china and flatware.
  • Assists tenants in selecting meals if needed.
  • Responsible for cleaning the dining room and serving area.
  • Follows proper sanitation schedules.
  • Prepares and plates food items such as salads, soups, and desserts.
  • Keeps supplies stocked in the serving area.
  • Assists in dish and utensil washing and cleaning.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary kitchen.
  • Creates a positive dining experience for customers.
  • Encourages participation in dining programs and meal activities.
  • Solicits feedback from customers regarding food quality.
  • Participates in quality performance and teamwork.
  • Reports any items in need of repair to Dining supervisors.
  • Assists with tenant evacuations in emergencies.
  • Attends in-service training and other work-related meetings.
