We are seeking a Lead/Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer to architect, develop, and scale enterprise-grade automation solutions that enhance the reliability, efficiency, and resiliency of our global IT infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role combines deep technical expertise with direct people-management responsibilities to drive automation strategy, accelerate delivery, and reduce manual effort through infrastructure-as-code (IaC), orchestration, and GitOps practices. As the technical and team leader for infrastructure automation, you will own the roadmap, manage a team of engineers, and collaborate closely with platform, cloud, network, and operations teams to enable secure, compliant, and self-service infrastructure. Your work will directly support key strategic goals such as uptime, scalability, and operational consistency.

  • Architect and maintain reusable automation frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, and related tools
  • Define and lead the automation and IaC roadmap, driving continuous improvement and standardization across infrastructure platforms
  • Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and self-service request fulfillment processes
  • Champion secure-by-default, modular design patterns and automation governance best practices
  • Ensure strong documentation, version control, code review, and reusability standards across the team
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of infrastructure automation and IaC engineers
  • Drive execution of sprint cycles, backlog prioritization, and roadmap alignment
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, coaching, and career development support
  • Foster a collaborative culture that promotes operational excellence, learning, and innovation
  • Partner with cloud, server, network, database, observability, and service management teams to automate platform operations
  • Collaborate with security and compliance stakeholders to embed policy-as-code into infrastructure pipelines
  • Work with internal service teams to integrate automation with request workflows, monitoring, and self-service portals
  • Participate in architecture reviews, governance initiatives, and reliability improvement programs
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, system administration, or DevOps with a strong focus on automation
  • 2+ years of experience in leadership or people-management role
  • Advanced scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
  • Proven hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and related infrastructure-as-code technologies
  • Experience in integrating automation with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
  • Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure environments (on-premises and Azure preferred)
  • Strong understanding of version control, secure coding practices, and peer-reviewed development workflows
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field
  • Certifications such as Terraform Associate, Microsoft Azure, Red Hat Ansible, VMware VCP, or ITIL v4
  • Experience with GitOps workflows and pipeline governance tooling
  • Familiarity with monitoring, alerting, and observability tools (e.g., Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus)
  • Experience automating request workflows in platforms like ServiceNow or other ITSM systems
  • Exposure to container platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift
  • Competitive compensation range: $112,000-$155,000/ year (California)
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Training and mentorship opportunities
  • On-campus wellness activities
  • Education reimbursement program
  • 401(k) program with discretionary employer match
  • Generous vacation accrual and paid holiday schedule
