About The Position

Touching Hearts at Home is a nationally recognized in-home companion care provider serving seniors in Rochester and the Finger Lakes. Our mission is to help older adults live safely, comfortably, and independently at home—with dignity, respect, and a caring touch
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and customer-focused Lead Senior Companion to provide reliable backup coverage and ensure uninterrupted care for our senior clients.
Ideal candidates are dependable, communicate well, and have a strong customer-service mindset. Caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred, including personal or professional experience such as HHA, PCA, CNA, LPN, or similar roles.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle
• Guaranteed 40 hours/week (80 hours bi-weekly)
• Standby Days: Monday–Friday or Wednesday–Sunday
• Reliable phone and internet access
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to travel up to 40 miles

Nice To Haves

• Caregiving or healthcare experience is preferred, including personal or professional experience such as HHA, PCA, CNA, LPN, or similar roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful companionship and direct care to seniors as needed
• Assist with transportation, errands, light housekeeping, and meal preparation
• Offer gentle reminders for medications, hydration, and daily routines
• Ensure client safety through supervision and fall-prevention support
• Step in to cover caregiver call-offs to ensure continuity of care
• Support caregivers in the field and serve as a resource when issues arise
• Support scheduling coordination, administrative tasks, and community events as needed
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
