About The Position

Security Engineers, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and reliable Lead Security Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for our clients. This position plays a key role in ensuring high-quality security operations through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Lead Officers support daily site activity through patrols, access control, incident response, reporting, and customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

Requirements

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Valid Security Officer/Guard License as required by state regulations
  • Valid driver’s license from state of residence
  • Minimum age: 18 years old
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced or high-pressure situations
  • Strong situational awareness and sound decision-making skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional during critical incidents
  • Basic computer proficiency, including use of tablets for reporting
  • Weekend availability as needed
  • Ability to stand or sit for at least 1 hour without break
  • Ability to walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping
  • Ability to climb at least 20 stairs in a commercial facility
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lead/supervise
  • 1+ year of supervisory-level security experience (not required)
  • 1+ year of verifiable military, law enforcement, or security experience
  • 2+ years of customer service experience

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns
  • Monitor access points; verify identification and credentials
  • Observe surveillance equipment for suspicious or unsafe activity
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents following established protocols
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of daily activities and events
  • Perform routine security tasks (e.g., securing doors, monitoring restricted areas)
  • Provide professional assistance to visitors, employees, and contractors
  • Enforce client-specific Post Orders and company policies
  • Ensure compliance with SEI and client rules, including smoking, parking, and loitering policies
