About The Position

The Lead Security Guard will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services. Will act as a liaison between the site Director, Manager and professional security officers. Supervise staff on assigned shift, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range. Consistently recognizes the overall function of the hospital in view of total patient care considers the entire scope and ramifications of each situation. Inspects doors, windows, and locks to determine level of security to ensure facility safety. Ensures only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises. Escorts visitors, patients, and personnel to and from parking areas with consideration for age specific needs. Maintains current information in lost and found logs. Notify individuals when items reported as missing are located. Writes incident reports and documents investigatory steps and results.

Requirements

  • Minimum one year of experience in healthcare security (required)
  • Experience in Lead/Supervisory position related to Security (preferred)
  • High School Graduate/Equivalent preferred.
  • Written and verbal communications, interpersonal skills.
  • Basic organizational and computer skills.
  • Current Guard Card required.
  • Assaultive Behavior Management certification (CPI) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Unrestricted current CA driver license required.
