As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cyber Security and Technology Controls, SaaS intelligence, you serve as a seasoned member of a team that works to develop and deliver software solutions that satisfy pre-defined functional and user requirements with the added dimension of preventing misuse, circumvention, and malicious behavior. Carry out critical technology solutions with tamper-proof, audit defensible methods across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

  • Executes, creates and implements code for a product, service, or feature, reusing code as applicable.
  • Technical troubleshooting with the ability to apply knowledge of existing solutions to satisfy requirements for internal clients.
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Applies specialized tools (e.g., vulnerability scanner) to analyze and correlate incident data to identify, interpret, and summarize the probability and impact of threats when determining specific vulnerabilities.
  • Proactively seek new knowledge and adapt to new information, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of solutions while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies, and leading engineering teams.
  • Proficient in coding in one or more popular languages and platforms - such as C#, C++, Ruby, Python.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Experience of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience developing security engineering solutions.
  • SSE, CASB or SSPM experience.
