About The Position

The Lead Security Awareness role at Optimum is focused on developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive security awareness program aimed at educating employees about cybersecurity best practices and threats. This position is crucial for cultivating a strong security culture within the organization, promoting safe behaviors, and minimizing cyber risks through engaging training initiatives and effective communication strategies. The Lead Security Awareness will collaborate with various teams to ensure the program's success and report on its effectiveness to executive leadership.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in cybersecurity awareness training, risk management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threats, and best practices.
• Prior experience developing training materials and managing security awareness programs.
• Experience designing and executing phishing campaigns.
• Ability to develop concise cybersecurity publications and engaging training materials.
• Strong analytical skills to assess program effectiveness.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Power Point, JIRA, SharePoint, and Confluence.

Nice To Haves

• Undergraduate degree in the Cybersecurity field.
• Certifications such as CISSP.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a comprehensive security awareness strategy aligned with the organization's cybersecurity goals.
• Develop engaging security awareness training content for various employee levels.
• Execute regular security awareness campaigns to educate employees on current cyber threats.
• Monitor and measure the effectiveness of security awareness programs through key metrics.
• Partner with other security teams to identify emerging threats and incorporate relevant information into training programs.
• Create and execute role-based cybersecurity awareness trainings tailored to various departments.
• Plan and implement activities for National Cybersecurity Awareness Month.
• Develop effective communication strategies to promote cybersecurity awareness across the organization.
