About The Position

Join our team as a Physical Security Administrator, where you'll take the lead in supporting and evolving our global physical security program. From daily system operations to driving improvements and scaling modern solutions, you'll play a critical role in protecting our people, offices, and assets.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, calm under pressure, and comfortable coordinating across IT, Facilities, Security Operations, and external vendors. This role is operational at its core, but not passive: you’ll be expected to spot gaps, improve processes, and help modernize how physical security is delivered at scale.This role can be based out of our Cambridge or Dublin offices; candidates must have the ability to commute onsite.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in physical security operations, systems administration, facilities security, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Hands-on experience administering access control and video surveillance systems (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, CCURE, Verkada, or similar).
  • Familiarity with badge systems, readers, controllers, cameras, and alarm panels.
  • Ability to analyze access logs, system alerts, and video footage for operational or investigative purposes.
  • Comfort working with ticketing systems, documentation tools, and basic reporting.
  • General understanding of security principles, risk management, and incident response.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
  • Calm, methodical approach to incident handling and troubleshooting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, especially when coordinating across teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity and willingness to improve systems and processes rather than just maintain them.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications such as PSP, CPP, ASIS certifications, or vendor-specific training for access control or VMS platforms.
  • Experience working alongside IT/network teams for system integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Physical Security System Administration Administer and maintain physical security platforms including access control systems, video management systems (VMS), intrusion alarms, and visitor management tools.
  • Perform routine audits, updates, and configuration changes to ensure systems operate reliably and securely.
  • Access Management & Controls Provision, modify, and deprovision physical access for employees, contractors, and visitors in accordance with policy.
  • Support badge lifecycle management, role-based access, and periodic access reviews in coordination with HR, IT, and Security.
  • Monitoring & Incident Support Monitor physical security systems and alerts, respond to access or system issues, and support investigations related to security incidents.
  • Assist with evidence collection (e.g., access logs, video footage) and documentation as required.
  • Vendor & Partner Coordination Work with external vendors, integrators, and managed service providers to resolve system issues, perform maintenance, and support new deployments.
  • Track tickets, follow up on SLAs, and escalate when needed.
  • System Testing & Improvements Support testing of new physical security capabilities, system upgrades, and office expansions or remodels.
  • Participate in proof-of-concept efforts for new tools or technologies and provide operational feedback.
  • Documentation & Process Management Create and maintain clear documentation for system configurations, operational procedures, access standards, and runbooks.
  • Help standardize processes across regions to improve consistency and audit readiness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Facilities, IT, Workplace Experience, Security Operations, and Legal/HR to align physical security operations with business needs, employee experience, and compliance requirements.
  • Compliance & Audits Support internal and external audits by providing evidence, reports, and system data related to physical access and security controls.
  • Assist with policy enforcement and compliance tracking.
