About The Position

As a Lead SDET in Test Automation, you will make an impact by designing and implementing scalable test automation solutions across web, middleware, and database technologies. You will be a valued member of our Quality Engineering team, collaborating closely with development, DevOps, and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will: · Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers to deliver robust testing solutions. · Design, build, and enhance test automation frameworks for UI, web services, and mobile applications. · Implement CI/CD pipelines and integrate automation into DevOps workflows. · Develop engineering metrics and root cause analysis reports to improve quality and efficiency. · Drive client solutions and proposals while ensuring alignment with best practices. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Charlotte - NC. Requirements

  • 12+ years of QA and test automation experience across web, middleware, and database technologies.
  • Minimum 5+ years of programming experience in Java, with foundational knowledge of Java-Spring concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, and test management tools like Rally, ALM, Jira.
  • Proven ability to implement new automation solutions and frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps culture and continuous integration/testing practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in mobile automation and complex framework implementation.
  • Ability to build engineering metrics and perform root cause analysis.
  • Expertise in driving client proposals and delivering innovative automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and advanced scripting for automation.
