Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 2 years of surgical or perioperative experience.
Strong working knowledge of surgical terminology and procedures.
Proficiency in OR scheduling systems and EMR platforms.
Excellent communication, customer service, and conflict-resolution skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

The Lead Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the daily scheduling functions within the Surgery Department.
This role ensures accurate and efficient scheduling of surgical cases, optimizes operating room utilization, supports surgeons and clinical teams, and provides leadership, training, and workflow oversight to the scheduling staff.
The Lead Scheduler serves as the primary liaison between surgeons’ offices, preoperative leadership, anesthesia, and hospital departments to ensure a smooth and safe surgical scheduling process.
