Why Conagra Brands – Council Bluffs: $24.11 per hour + .70 per hour attendance bonus Overtime Eligibility Excellent benefit package Up to 10 paid Holidays per year 401K and vacation Company Store Job Summary: The Lead Sanitation position is responsible for a variety of duties including overseeing and providing support to the Sanitation associates, performing LOTO on equipment, maintaining and dispensing cleaning chemicals, and completing inspections of lines and areas to ensure adherence to USDA and plant standards while following all safety regulations and ensuring all GMP and quality standards are met. You will be reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. You will work onsite in the Council Bluffs location.

Requirements

  • Work the scheduled/assigned times and required overtime for position
  • Regular attendance to ensure production requirements are met
  • Read, write, communicate, and comprehend written instructions in English
  • Follow instruction
  • Basic knowledge of computers
  • Work as a team
  • Move up to 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of GMP's and plant safety
  • Be LOTO certified
  • Be PIT certified and maintain certification
  • Understanding of damage/loss
  • Knowledge of 5s principles
  • Knowledge of chemical awareness MSDS
  • Education: High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience: 3 months sanitation or related experienced preferred.
  • Previous lead experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Sanitation operations providing support
  • Lock Out Tag Out equipment
  • Maintain and dispense cleaning chemicals to sanitation crews
  • Complete inspections ensuring lines and areas meet USDA and plant standards
  • Disassemble/assemble equipment
  • Help clean and sanitizing
  • Help train new Sanitation associates
  • Conduct safety audits
  • Special projects as assigned
