As a Lead Sales (Key Holder) at West Elm, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our customers' lives at home. Your primary responsibility will be to inspire customers to express themselves through our products, making it easy for them to discover items that suit their entertaining needs. You will be the face of the brand, driving sales by creating connections and fostering lasting relationships with our customers. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring that the store meets its financial goals while providing world-class service to our guests. In this role, you will support the management team by performing essential opening and closing routines, handling register functions, and managing back-office procedures. You will supervise the store during your shifts, ensuring that all associates are delivering exceptional service and that the store meets visual, cleanliness, safety, and replenishment standards. As a Selling Captain, you will serve as a role model for sales associates, prioritizing the customer experience and motivating your team through your actions and examples. You will also be responsible for maintaining a fair and respectful environment for all associates, in line with our People First Philosophy. This position requires effective communication, organization, and leadership skills, as well as a proven ability to motivate and influence others. With 1-3 years of retail sales experience and some shift supervision experience preferred, you will be well-equipped to take on this dynamic role.
