Job SummaryThe program manager will be expected to lead, develop, manage, and improve assigned safety programs with a focus on serious injury and fatality (SIF) prevention.Essential Functions Manage the implementation, maintenance, and validation of the Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) prevention program. Liaise with and support business unit safety and operational leadership to lead and influence continuous improvement. Apply project management best practices to drive plan execution, mitigate risks, and improve effectiveness to deliver results in a timely manner. Define, track, and monitor progress against success metrics and project plans. Analyze and report on overall project health using key performance indicators and success metrics, and accurately and clearly report on status against program objectives. Provide training content for human and organizational performance, learning teams, and high-energy sources and direct controls. Conduct annual reviews to ensure safety-related & training programs are up to date. Conduct field visits to validate and assess the health of assigned programs. Lead and/or participate in internal and external special project teams with the purpose of continuous improvement. Engage, develop, and maintain relationships with external partners, organizations, and memberships. May facilitate learning teams for serious injuries and track preventative actions. Present on topics related to the assigned safety program to various groups.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Psychology, Engineering, Business, or related technical field.
  • Requires a minimum of seven (7) years of industry experience with minimum four (4) years in safety prior work experience in Safety, agile project management, continuous improvement, analytical and problem-solving skills, effective time management to achieve critical deadlines, and the ability to apply advanced knowledge of human and organizational performance (HOP) philosophies.
