About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Retail Investment Research Analyst as part of Global Manager Research in Investment Solutions for Wealth & Investment Management. In this role, you will perform initial due diligence and ongoing monitoring on third-party investment products (mutual funds, SMAs, exchange traded funds, etc.) as part of the Systematic Review Team. There are two roles - one focused on investment due diligence; one on operational due diligence. You will determine platform eligibility through structured reviews using both qualitative and quantitative criteria, including assessments for new firm/product additions and quarterly monitoring existing platform offerings. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on multi-step approval processes to ensure timely and accurate assessments aligned with time and volume targets. Additionally, you will ensure thorough documentation of decision rationale in accordance with established review standards to support integrity and repeatability of systematic reviews. You will communicate with external money managers regularly, create and deliver presentations to internal audiences and oversight committees, and draft communications to fields investment professionals. You will also contribute to the enhancement of Systematic Review processes, with a focus on leveraging advanced data analytics and artificial intelligence to improve efficiency and insight.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Retail Investment Research or equivalent experience.
• Experience with packaged products including mutual funds, exchange traded products, closed end funds, Unit Investment Trusts, Collective Investment Trusts, and separately managed accounts.
• Advanced financial analytical experience with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis, including statistical and performance analytics on investments.
• Experience in money manager research, project management, and applying data analytics to improve research workflows.
• Experience with Morningstar Direct, FactSet, and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint.
• Strong background in Microsoft Excel VBA and data analytics (e.g. Python).
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
