About The Position
A Retail Sales Lead is an essential member of our retail team. They are responsible for driving sales, assisting guests, and overseeing a team of sales associates during day-to-day business. The Retail Sales Lead job description includes creating a positive shopping experience for guests and associates alike. As a leader, you are expected to lead by example; guiding and mentoring the sales associates to ensure that they meet their sales goals and provide exceptional guest service. The Retail Lead will handle administrative duties such as inventory management, cash handling, and on the spot coachings to guarantee success. The Retail Sales Lead should be passionate about succeeding, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Have worked in retail for a minimum of 2 years, preferably in a leadership position.
- Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills
- Flexible hours with open availability
- Able to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to remain standing for extended periods
Responsibilities
- Assist guests in finding and purchasing products.
- Train and supervise sales staff.
- Create sales goals and help manage inventory.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store.
- Address customer complaints.
- Operate the cash register and other necessary equipment.
- Promote store events and promotions to guests.
- Provide excellent guest service.
- Relay important information from management to other staff members.
