About The Position

The Lead Retail Associate at Amazon Go is responsible for enhancing customer engagement and supporting the store's operational excellence. This role involves training team members, managing store procedures, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience while maintaining store standards.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of floor leader or other leadership experience, or 1+ years of Amazon experience.
  • 3+ years of retail or customer-facing experience, or 1+ years of Amazon experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working in Amazon Physical Stores.
  • Experience managing inventory in a retail or distribution setting.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Prior experience in training others.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous experience in providing peer-to-peer feedback.
  • Demonstrated success in problem solving and delivering results.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers using effective engagement strategies and model desired behaviors for the team.
  • Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, quality, and store operations.
  • Open and close the store following proper procedures, maintaining a key to the store.
  • Support floor leader responsibilities, including peer-to-peer feedback and assisting associates with customer issues.
  • Assist in scheduling, payroll management, timesheet verification, and time and attendance.
  • Participate in associate onboarding and interviews as required.
  • Ensure consistent execution of inventory workflow processes, guiding associates in receiving, stocking, and replenishing products.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of customer experience and store operations by developing best practices.
  • Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and count products.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the store and all surfaces at all times.
  • Identify and communicate barriers and trends affecting customer and associate experiences, supporting the manager in building a strong store culture.
  • Work with the manager to maintain physical safety and high-quality standards of the store.
  • Adapt to a fast-changing and ambiguous environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
