About The Position

Oversees and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the Respiratory Department and collaborates with the Director to develop and implement education, facilitate clinical operations, and support daily operations. They are responsible for assisting with staff selection, orientation of staff, scheduling staff, ensuring policy and procedures reflect current practice standards as well as ensuring Respiratory Department is stocked with adequate and appropriate supplies

Requirements

• Graduate of an AMA approved program for Respiratory Care
• Current MA Respiratory license
• RRT Required
• NRP Required
• BLS Required
• Excellent organizational skills
• Minimum of 5 years as a Respiratory Therapist
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform all the functions contained in the Respiratory Therapist’s Job Descriptions
• Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work within a budget
• Able to lift, push and pull without restriction, able to use proper body mechanics, able to work extra hours, including rotation and call; exposure to blood, sharps and body fluids, tubing condensates; airborne and other infectious materials
• Consistently treats patients, colleagues and visitors with the dignity and respect, while being sensitive to the differing needs of all age groups, backgrounds, characteristics and cultures
• Must have the ability to the perform essential functions of the position, including required work hours, locations and physical demands, without posing a direct threat to the health and safety of themselves or other individuals in the work place, and with or without reasonable accommodation
