About The Position

Responsible for the vision and execution of content in line with audience needs in order to inform, educate and engage existing and new qualified industry audiences. Advise, strategize and deliver editorial direction for the brand in line with subjects impacting the Machine Design industry. Develop and create written and multimedia content to drive quality traffic to various platforms to inform the construction industry on complex topics and trends.

Requirements

Basic understanding of SEO/GEO, analytics, AI, Social Media platforms
Knowledge of AP Style
Knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms (Word; Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign; InCopy, Acrobat)
Proficiency in creating and editing video and podcasts
Knowledge of journalism best practices and ethics
Degree in Journalism, English, communications or a related field.
5 years experience in writing and editing content for a specific audience

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Photoshop a plus
Knowledge of the construction industry a plus

Responsibilities

Write/record and publish original bylined content across the brand’s digital, print, audio, visual, and social media channels.
Develop key contacts across the industry for exclusive interviews and sources for content.
Solicit, source, and review contributed expert content as needed.
Actively engage with and participate in live and digital industry events.
Raise your profile through social media, newsletters, and the development of a readily recognizable voice and perspective in bylined content.
Serve as an internal expert on your beat/industry to fuel cross-brand content and collaboration.
Produce the best original content in your industry.
