About The Position

Applicants will be considered for Lead openings. The Lead will oversee the assigned area and keep overall productivity going. The Lead will help train new hires, bid trainees and cross training. The Lead will help out in case of absenteeism. The Lead will fill in for personal breaks and emergencies. The Lead is there for guidance when the supervisor is not present. The Lead will stay during breaks to help clean the area and prep the equipment for start-up after the break. The Lead will communicate effectively; giving verbal feedback to supervisors, other departments and co-workers. Bi-lingual skills a plus. Tasks include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting and reaching. These positions work in a hot, humid environment and slippery surfaces. This is a C-Shift position

Requirements

  • Team Member must be dependable, work well with others, self-motivated and willing to come in early and stay late when necessary
  • Candidates with 6 or more attendance points and/or any suspension disciplines on file within last 12 months at time of posting will not be considered
  • Available to bargaining unit team members only
  • The successful candidate must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only
  • Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner
