About The Position
The Lead Reimbursement Specialist is a pivotal role within Telecare Corporation, responsible for overseeing all revenue cycle functions for assigned fee-for-service and third-party facilities. This includes a comprehensive range of tasks such as insurance verification, managing census data, authorization management, billing, collections, cash posting, handling denials, appeals, and processing write-offs or refunds. The Lead Reimbursement Specialist acts as the primary contact for the Reimbursement Specialists in their group, providing essential support during contract and payer changes, training new staff, and reviewing their work to ensure compliance and accuracy. In this role, the Lead Reimbursement Specialist must stay updated on all relevant CPT and coding changes, as well as fee-for-service and contract billing rates, communicating these updates to all affected parties within Telecare. The position may require some travel to various locations where Telecare operates or plans to expand its services. The Lead Reimbursement Specialist is expected to embody Telecare's mission of delivering effective behavioral health services, engaging individuals in their recovery journey, and promoting cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion at all organizational levels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in revenue cycle management, with a focus on ensuring timely and accurate billing processes. They will also play a crucial role in mentoring new staff and fostering effective communication and relationships within the department and with external stakeholders. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of the billing process and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and contractual obligations.
