Job Description: Our practice in New Jersey is looking for a Oncology Lead Registered Nurse . This position will be located in our Monroe and Robbinsville locations. Travel to our central locations when needed for coverage. General Responsibilities include chemotherapy administration, symptom management, operate emergency equipment, administer injections, verify completed consents for medications in EMR and other direct patient care responsibilities. Lead responsibilities: Manage scheduling of direct staff, i.e., enter in applications such as MS Calendar Manage timecard and time off requests (entering/approval/monitor) in Workday application Calculate and enter daily acuity into appropriate data sheets, folders and/or applications Understanding of laboratory policies, processes, and troubleshooting Communicate direct staff issues to Department head Support and develop clinical staff to optimize their desire and ability to meet or exceed performance expectations. Mentor, coach, counsel and implement developmental or performance improvement plans, as appropriate, in consultation with department head

Requirements

  • Current RN License
  • CPR Cert.
  • Experience as an RN with specialty in oncology/hematology
  • Must have managerial experience
  • Chemotherapy Certification required
  • Knowledge of EMR systems (preferably OncoEMR)
  • Travel between office sites when needed
