Requirements

  • Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and licensed in Nutrition/Dietetics as required by the applicable state.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in dietary services in a long-term care setting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in dietary services.
  • Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
  • Must be able to read and interpret dining service cost reports, financial data, etc.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 10 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 10 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the nutritional needs of residents and develop individualized meal plans.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and guidelines.
  • Monitor and document residents' nutritional status and progress.
  • Provide nutrition education and counseling to residents, families, and staff.
  • Assists Director of Clinical Operations with recruiting, training, and scheduling of Registered Dietitians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve residents' overall health and well-being.
  • Provide coverage in multiple buildings based on company needs.
  • All other duties as assigned.
