About The Position

The Lead Registered Dental Assistant at Clinica Sierra Vista plays a crucial role in coordinating the daily operations of the dental clinic. Requirements

• Two years of experience as a dental assistant is preferred.
• Must possess a California license for Registered Dental Assistant and a sealant certificate.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent (GED).
• Possession of State Radiological Certification is required.
• Willingness to participate in expanded duty programs as they become operational.
• Desire to work closely with patients and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in four-handed dentistry.
• Knowledge of infection control policies and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordinating the daily operation of the dental clinic under the direction of the dental practice manager.
• Ensure efficient service delivery and guide dental staff and patient flow.
• Prepare supply orders and organize dental materials and supplies.
• Perform all duties of a Registered Dental Assistant under the direct supervision of a dentist.
• Assist the dentist in all aspects of chairside assisting, including draping and seating patients, and preparing treatment rooms.
• Confirm all treatment is recorded in the patient chart and necessary information is indicated on route slips.
• Operate dental radiography equipment and apply topical agents as needed.
• Remove dressings and perform sterilization protocols according to established policies.
• Fill in as Dental Receptionist when necessary, answering calls and assisting incoming patients.
