EXPECTATIONS: Support Krapf vision and mission in all activities Demonstrate Krapf Core Values of commitment, open communication, respect and excellent service Represent Krapf in a professional, business-like manner Comply with all Krapf employee and safety policies POSITION SUMMARY: This office position is responsible for executing targeted recruitment strategies to attract both active and passive talent, while building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates throughout the hiring process. Key responsibilities include sourcing candidates through various platforms, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and collaborating with hiring managers to ensure the best candidate fit for each role. Additionally, the Lead Recruiter is required to manage pre-employment documentation, track candidate progress, and provide support to applicants throughout the process. As a Lead Recruiter, this role also involves providing ongoing team training and support, taking the initiative to mentor and guide fellow recruiters, fostering their professional development, and ensuring their success within the team.

Requirements

  • 2 – 5 years of experience in a high-volume recruiting role
  • Customer-service oriented; positive attitude
  • Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), social media, and internet skills
  • Multi-Task: Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in various stages of completion
  • Superior organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to travel to different company locations during business hours
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Prior experience processing background checks, and pre-employment screenings, strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute outreach recruitment strategy and develop creative ways to source passive talent.
  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to fellow recruiters, helping them improve their skills and achieve success in their recruitment efforts.
  • Take the initiative to guide the recruitment team by sharing best practices, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure continuous development and high performance.
  • Build and maintain influential relationships with both active and passive candidates throughout the recruiting process.
  • Attract qualified candidates using company ATS, online job boards, job fairs, social media, and professional networking platforms.
  • Research and engage with community services, trade schools, and colleges to build a strong talent pipeline for current and future staffing needs.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates for experience, skills, and cultural fit.
  • Schedule interviews (in-person and virtual) and provide position details to candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to ensure adequate candidate selection and recruiting process effectiveness.
  • Provide recruiting reports and feedback to the hiring managers
  • Maintain a Call Log, pre-employment documents, and tracking spreadsheets for applicants and new hires.
  • Process confidential documents (background checks, drug screenings, etc.), and ensure accurate filing and tracking.
  • Be Krapf brand ambassador, ensuring a positive and professional experience for all candidates.
  • Review criminal background and motor vehicle records per company procedures, consulting with Safety Officer/HR as needed.
  • Provide applicant support throughout the application and pre-employment process, creating and auditing folders for new hires.
  • Attend conferences and job fairs as needed.
  • Complete other assigned duties within scope and ability.
