About The Position

Develops, implements and evaluates the provisions of recreation services in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. Provides prescribed and individual recreation services to patients; assesses, maintains and develops programs to access social, cognitive, physical and emotional functioning. Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients; assists in maintenance of a safe, clean therapeutic environment and assures that patients participate in recreation therapy activities; and documents accordingly.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree from an accredited school in Therapeutic Recreation and CTRS certification or licensure within the respective field required.
• Experience working with adults within a psychiatric environment preferred.
