About The Position

The Lead Recreation Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the Recreation Department by leading, training, and motivating a team of recreation staff while fostering a fun, safe, and engaging atmosphere for guests. This position focuses on leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to create memorable experiences for resort guests through daily activities and team-building programs. The Lead Recreation Attendant will assist in daily operations, ensure safety standards are met, and maintain a high level of guest satisfaction. Requirements

  • Leadership and training abilities with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and handle guest or associate concerns professionally.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (as defined by company insurance standards).

  • Previous recreation, hospitality, or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming environment for all resort visitors.
  • Address guest concerns and resolve complaints within scope of authority; escalate when necessary.
  • Enforce all safety and security standards to protect guests, staff, and resort property.
  • Oversee and maintain recreation facilities, water play, and sports areas, ensuring proper safety and preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate recreation associates to perform at their highest potential.
  • Plan, organize, and lead daily guest activities, including group programs and team-building events.
  • Assist in developing new activities, programs, and guest engagement initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the Recreation Department and resort operations.
