The Recreation Leader oversees daily recreational activities, ensuring safe, engaging, and well-organized experiences for guests of all ages. This role provides leadership to attendants, coordinates recreation programs, and ensures smooth operations across various resort activity areas.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• One or more years of recreation, hospitality, or guest service experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fun and professional environment.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
• Valid driver’s license with at least three years of good driving history.
• Ability to solve problems and make sound decisions in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support recreation attendants to deliver exceptional guest service.
• Oversee the daily operations of recreational facilities including bike rentals, the Dunes Putting Course, carousel, health club desk, and team-building activities.
• Coordinate schedules, activity registration, and communication of recreation offerings to guests.
• Ensure all rental equipment and facilities are maintained, safe, and guest-ready at all times.
• Greet and engage with guests in a professional, energetic, and courteous manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Handle guest inquiries, phone calls, and activity registrations.
• Monitor inventory, manage money handling processes, and ensure proper record-keeping.
• Communicate with management regarding operational needs, equipment concerns, or guest feedback.
• Assist with and lead group recreation programs, events, and activities, fostering a fun and safe environment.
