About The Position

We're looking for a Lead Reconditioning Service Technician whose skills under the hood are unmatched and who knows what it takes to be an effective leader. Is this you? Requirements

  • Minimum: 7+ years of vehicle repair experience (vehicle reconditioning, detailing, mechanical and/or body shop experience).
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Excellent people, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-30 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Competent supervisory and excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the work of at least two full-time employees by determining work procedures, preparing schedules, expediting the workflow, assigning duties and examining work.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee job performance and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Recruit and train shop employees.
  • Supervise vehicle inspection to ensure that work is satisfactorily completed.
  • Communicate, discuss and resolve reconditioning goals, results and problems with the Operations Manager.
  • Lead by example, champion Cox/Manheim values and ensure that all employees are treated with respect.
  • Monitor and control the use of supplies, materials and equipment for the recon shop and purchase equipment and supplies as necessary.
  • Monitor and aide in ensuring established guidelines for a safe work environment.
  • Use feedback to improve customer service.
