This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. AT&T will not hire any applicants for this position who require employer sponsorship now or in the future. We at AT&T are excited to have an opening in the National Performance Triage team. This organization analyses the root cause of wireless network performance degradations, develops automation to triage root cause analysis and provides reports on those root causes for leadership and other external groups. What you’ll do: Daily Performance Report Generation: Run our existing Daily Degradation report for our 4G and 5G networks, which triggers submarkets that have had composite quality performance degradation when comparing yesterday’s performance with their daily baseline performance. Send the triggered markets list to our contacts in the impacted markets. Data Integrity: Check the source data to ensure that the triggered markets are not due to a data integrity issue. Collaboration and Coordination: Work with the markets to determine the root cause of the degradation and have that root cause entered into our database. Auto-Categorization: To reduce the workload on our markets, we provide a list of top offenders that contributed to the degradation and included any known information about those sites related to the degradation. Through your working relationship with the markets, this will provide the opportunity to work with both the markets and your colleagues in the national team to develop rules that will auto-categorize those issues. Reporting: Send out the final reports which contain the final root cause analysis to the distribution list. Network Modernization Analysis: A separate part of your role will be to monitor the Rocky Mountain Region’s network modernization efforts. If the Rocky Mountain Region has a significant performance degradation associated with network modernization work, you will need to determine the root cause of the degradation which will require close market collaboration. What you’ll need: As a Lead RAN Engineering, you will need to understand all the components in our 4G and 5G networks, from our wireless sites through to the core as failures can happen at any point along that path. You will need to have a demonstrable knowledge of our key performance indicators (voice and data drops and blocks, uplink and downlink throughput) and how failures impact those key performance indicators. Since this role requires collaboration with engineers all around the country, you’ll need to have strong collaboration skills. An experienced professional, recognized as an expert, creatively resolving complex issues with broad and in-depth knowledge. Leads significant projects with strategic autonomy, influencing executive decisions. Mentors less experienced staff, implements long-term plans impacting the organization, and frequently collaborates with senior leadership. Develop strategic solutions; ensure alignment with organizational goals; solve moderate to complex issues.
