Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in railcar repair, industrial fabrication, or heavy equipment welding.
  • Strong welding and fabrication background (MIG, stick, arc welding; torch cutting; heavy steel work required).
  • Demonstrated leadership or foreman-level experience leading crews in an industrial or repair environment.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints/schematics.
  • Valid, unexpired driver's license required.
  • Must be 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Must pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Stable work history with good professional references.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous military or industrial leadership experience is a plus.
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee daily railcar repair activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
  • Interpret job work orders, drawings, blueprints, and schematics to perform and direct required repairs.
  • Apply advanced welding, cutting, gouging, and fabrication skills in heavy steel repair and modifications.
  • Train, mentor, and guide repair technicians to build technical knowledge and ensure proper work practices.
  • Monitor material and equipment needs, reporting shortages to management.
  • Enforce all Environmental Health & Safety policies, maintaining a clean and compliant work area.
  • Ensure compliance with AAR, ARS, and customer quality assurance standards.
  • Communicate with supervisors, customers, and team members regarding project progress and repair status.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
