About The Position

The Lead, Radiology Technologist oversees the daily operations of the Radiology and CT Departments. The lead technologist coordinates patient scheduling, daily work assignments, and serves as a resource for imaging technologists. This role maintains departmental oversight and demonstrates mastery of all hospital or clinical level imaging competencies.

Requirements

• Associate's degree, vocational or technical degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program.
• Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical experience.
• 1 year of leadership experience, preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with modalities for American College of Radiology (ACR) Accreditation.
• Communicates protocol changes to staff, trains/orients new employees and assists in staffing when needed.
• Obtains acceptable radiographic images using appropriate Computerized Radiology and/or CR/DR techniques and protocols.
• Acquires and disseminates patient information data for exam order using hospital electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Performs control checks to ensure proper operating status.
