As a Lead Quantum Engineer on the Systems Performance team, you will help build the next generation of Rigetti's quantum hardware and unlock new performance levels of our quantum processors. In your daily work, you will design and execute experiments to test new device layouts and hardware configurations, perform measurements and data analysis, identify loss and dephasing channels, and propose new experimental solutions to improve device performance. You will provide technical leadership for cross-functional teams, working with a diverse set of engineers and scientists with expertise spanning cryogenics, device design and fabrication, RF electronics, and software development, to identify and mitigate hardware limitations on device performance.
